I hate blog titles. Oh well. So another week has come and gone. I got a pair of Vibram Five Finger shoes, that is basically like being barefoot. I did my first run in them yesterday after I bought them. They told me to cut my distance in half for the first couple of runs, and while I was running, I didn't really see why (except that the balls of my feet felt a little bruised) but when I woke up this morning, my calves were super sore. They work totally different leg muscles than running in my good old Saucony, and it was so fun to do something a little bit different and still be running. I have decided that I am going to start wearing them for 2 of my runs a week, it is a little sad that I can't track my runs with them, since they don't have laces, but I guess I will get over it. I loved seeing last year that in 6 months I ran 500 miles, but these shoes are worth it. I decided I won't wear them for my first 10K this month since I all ready have to deal with a 4000 ft altitude change and the race is the day after I get there, so I better not push my luck. I will however do my race on Memorial Day wearing them. Anyway, hope everyones weigh in is good!!!!
