So not a whole lot going on for me this week. I did read the challenge this week and think it is a pretty good one. I haven't really done any of the other challenges. I take that back, I kind of did the goal evaluation one, I didn't write anything down, but I did take a few minutes to think about what my goals are, since being within about 3 pounds of my goal weight, that means that they are changing a little. I know that to maintain my weight, I am not going to change anything about my workouts, I will continue with my running 5 miles 4-5 days a week and either run that 5th day, or go to this amazing water aerobics class that they have here on base. I also know that my eating habits are going to have to stay pretty much the same. I have slightly upped the amount of calories that I am consuming, not by a lot, just by about 300 calories a day, and that seems to be a good place for me. I did not do the sugar challenge because lets face it, I don't have a problem with eating sugar, I don't eat it in excess, but I decided when I first started doing these competitions, that it wasn't something I was going to give up. My goal with that was to strike a balance with my eating habits. When my kids have a birthday, I am going to eat a piece of cake. Of course I know exactly how many servings the cake makes, and I do limit myself to a piece, but I am not willing to sacrifice the little things like that. I just try to keep it in moderation. I did work on my posture for that challenge. Since we got our Wii fit last year and I do have fun playing some of the games on there, it focuses on your posture quite a bit, so I had been trying to keep that in the back of my mind lately. I like these little challenges, it is nice to have a little mini goal to focus on during the week. I like this fitness one, but I'm not really sure whether I am going to do too much with it. I already work out 5 days a week, I do cardio all 5 days, and I do some weights 3 days a week and spend 1.5 hours at the gym each day, so realistically I don't have a whole lot more time that I can spend there, and I am not sacrificing any of my cardio workouts. Training starts in about a month and a half, so I need to keep my running habits right where they are. Karilynn, I think that these challenges are an absolutely fantastic idea. Well I better get my kids up and ready for school. Hope everyone has a great week!!!!!!!
