So this week has been a better week. I lost 1.5 pounds which has been more than I have done in a long time. My goal is to lose small, so this was fantastic results. I have been so frustrated that I have not been losing even though I have been watching what I eat. I started tracking my calories and found that they were way under what they should be, most days not even hitting a thousand. So I decided to up my calorie intake, and make those calories count. I started eating more fruits and veggies, and more protein. Even though 65 % of my calories should come from carbs, I also found that protein is very important to help my body repair itself (which it really needed after my 9 mile run this weekend). The results surprised me, and within 2 days, I had started losing. That was quite motivating. It has also been great getting comments through the week, it has helped keep me so motivated. I know that I am incredibly bad at commenting on other peoples blogs, and I am going to try to be better with that. Anyway, hopefully things will continue to go so well, and I hope that everyone else is seeing success as well. (And yes mom I know that this is completely corny and out of character for me)

Congrats on 1.5 pounds that is great! It is really interesting to see how that results from an increase in your caloric intake! I had heard this before...but seeing it in action is great.
How many calories a day do you eat?
YAY! 1.5 lbs and 9 miles! OY!! You are amazing!
Holy Cow -- You weren't even hitting a thousand on most days... no wonder your body thought you were starving it ;) So glad you get to eat more and healthier not to mention seeing results.
I have been keeping them between 1500 and 1800 calories, but every once in a while it goes as low as 1200. And I have been trying to spread them out more evenly through out the day instead of eating them all at night when I'm going to sleep and not burning as much.
Wow, Robym that is awesome!!!!!! Hopefully this weekend I will have time to check out that website - this has been a bad week for homework. Kari was back last night - we'll see how long that lasts...
Wow, Robyn! Great job. I hope things continue to go well for you. I can't beleive you were even functioning on 1000 calories. I am also so impressed with all your running. I only dream to be able to do that. Keep it up!
Wow! a 9 mi run is impressive! Congrats!
