Week 6

So now comes the frustrating part of trying to lose weight. Apparently I have hit my first plateau. I seem to be able to lose weight consistently up to this point. I have not been able to break it in the 2 years since I had my last baby. I work really hard, get down to this weight and have to fight like crazy to even maintain this weight, let alone lose any more. Every time, I get frustrated and ultimately give up. Well, its not going to happen this time!!! Well, Plateau, I have been expecting you and this time I have a plan in mind, hopefully it will work (if not I have a friend that is a weight loss instructor and now a personal trainer, so I will pick her brain). I have decided that in addition to the 5 miles that I run 5 days a week (for a grand total of 25 miles a week) I am going to add 2 days of water aerobics to 2 of my running day, and the 2 days that I don't run, regular aerobics. I am going to cut my calories by 150-200 a day, and hopefully after a week or so, break this and start seeing results. I must say that hitting this and struggling to maintain my weight right now, let alone lose, is really annoying. I do not see how I can be as careful as I have been with what I am eating, and exercising as consistently as I do, how it can be so hard to just maintain a weight. Oh well, I am not giving up this time, I am determined, and I know if I lose momentum and let myself get down about it, I will fail, so I guess this is where my stubborn streak can be more of a blessing than a curse. ;-) Anyway, here's hoping for some success this week for me, and everyone else out there that is in the same situation!!!!

ahhh - see you got something good from my side of the fam. But I don't think I can really take credit cause Rob was waaaay more stubborn. Maybe I should feel sorry for you, but... nay

Hey, good luck. You know if you stick to it long enough it will happen. That is the good thing about this competition - you can't really give up. lol You'll do great!
