So this week hasn't been so great, I have kept my calories where they should be and I ran 32 miles this past week, but my weight is actually up. What the heck?! Oh well, I guess that is life sometimes.
I've noticed that if I exercise a lot, I tend to be a bit heavier. Especially if it's weight training. I can guarantee I'll be up a pound or two the next day. I think maybe the muscles retain water when they are recovering. But, that's just one of my wacky theories, so don't take me too seriously.
Wendy's theory sounds good to me! ;o) Last competition we had this running joke that your hard work doesn't pay off till the next week! Here's to hoping that you have one of those "mornings" on weigh in day when you wake up and 2 lbs are GONE!! Congrats on running 31 miles! You inspire me!
I live at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska with my husband and our 5 kids. I trained for and ran a half marathon last year and am currently training to run my second the end of this month. I also plan to run another one in March and one in July before I train for an run my first full marathon next year. I don't really do a whole lot else, between that and taking care of my kids and house that is about all the time I have.

Life is never fair. Weight loss isn't an exact science. Keep trying and you will see results
